2017 family

Since 2011 when we first started our Christmas Drive, The Festival Band has been able to help many families during the Christmas season. Our efforts have somewhat been behind the scenes the past three years due to busy work schedules and life’s unexpected situations, but we have been able to help bring Christmas cheer to at least one family each year. This year, we are sharing the story of a family in need in hopes our family and friends can help bring the Spirit of Christmas to one special family.
The Dad was in a serious motorcycle accident and has not been able to work due to his injuries. Mom does what she can to help. They have two children, an 11-year-old daughter and a 7-year-old son. Their needs are simple and hope you can help.
Here are items on the wish list:
Girl: Needs pants, size 12 and shoes, size 3; she loves the color pink and loves dolls, Frozen and Descendants characters
Boy: Needs clothing size 10 and shoe size 3; he is into Super Mario
A kind person has already donated a bike for the boy, and Home Depot has donated a Christmas tree. We will be accepting wish list donations through Sunday, December 17th and we will be delivering to the family on Monday, December 18th.
If you are out shopping and are able to purchase a gift for the kids, we are forever grateful. We will also have a 50/50 raffle on Saturday night (Dec 16) at Brother John’s, we will purchase a gift card to a grocery store to help with Christmas dinner.
Thank you in advance for your kindness,
Rick and Stella Hernandez
